Before I delve further into this post — a word of warning to you, my readers… I’m experiencing some technical difficulties here and there with my blog theme and am hoping to get it sorted out at least in time for me to get back to normal posting by February. Hopefully, these are just minor hiccups and the site will be OK!
Anyway, another reason for my absence is, I went on a mini vacation to Los Angeles for a handful of days a couple of weekends ago. It was oddly my first time there (minus briefly touching down for further travels a few years ago). I just wanted to be somewhere warmer than New York for a few days and I was lucky enough to time it so that I was in the city for a stretch of non-rainy days (as there has been quite a lot of rain in the L.A. area lately).
I enjoyed my time there and really took in some of the lovely sights, though I ultimately concluded that it’s not a place I could see myself living in. However, I did feel L.A. could potentially give New York City a run for its money in the food department. It seemed like all I did was eat my way through the city and I really did need to remember to take it easy from time to time, so that I didn’t ruin my next meal too much! From hipster coffee shops to Korean barbecue, I really enjoyed much of what I ate in L.A. Take a look at the highlights:
